Peter Hellwig, Managing Partner
Peter Hellwig has over 35 years of experience providing financial management, operations management, strategic planning and corporate/business development functions to Fortune 1000 clients, small/medium size business enterprises and start-up operations. Mr. Hellwig’s skills span both the public and private sectors. For the past 15 years, Mr. Hellwig has specialized in serving as the internal and outsourced CFO/CEO/COO for public companies for proper fiscal management, financial reporting, and disclosure for full compliance with all aspects of the Securities & Exchange Commission (“SEC”) and OTC Markets.
Mr. Hellwig began his corporate/business development consulting career servicing Fortune 1000 clients as well as small/medium size business and start-up operations at Markowitz & McNaughton Inc., a Washington DC based international strategy-consulting firm. Here he conducted and managed over 500 projects involving acquisition due diligence, benchmarking, new market entry, new product/service introductions, competitive analysis, joint venture and mergers & acquisition programs to facilitate and support strategic planning and corporate development decisions. In this capacity, Mr. Hellwig conducted projects spanning a broad range of industries from aerospace, medical technologies and pharmaceutics to consumer products.
Subsequently in 1995, Mr. Hellwig relocated to Florida and co-founded Mercury Solutions, Inc., a strategic planning consulting services firm based on his prior expertise. Here he managed all aspects of profit & loss, the firm’s research operations as well as client management. This boutique consulting firm grew to 20 employees servicing mid to large size corporate clients specializing in financial services, B2B dot.com services, high value information exchange and management products, and ERP solutions.
In 2003, Mr. Hellwig founded Navigator Management Group providing outsourced executive and management consulting services, to provide start-up and early-stage development clients to benefit from a seasoned individual with broad-spectrum expertise in building and managing their businesses. Here, Mr. Hellwig provided all aspects of financial management, corporate management, business/corporate development, strategic planning, infrastructure/organizational structure development. The client goals were to transition operations from initial start-up phase and graduate them to fully funded/capitalized self-sustaining business entities in both private and public (nano/micro-cap OTC fully reporting and non-reporting pinksheet listed companies) sectors. Navigator Management Group transitioned its service offering to H-Squared Ventures, ultimately resulting in bringing to fruition the services offered by H-Squared Performance Financial to provide comprehensive compliance, transparency and fiscal management services to its clients.
Mr. Hellwig routinely assumes the role of internal and outsourced CFO, COO, president/CEO, executive, director and advisory board member to several companies in a broad range of industries. In the public sector, his roles and responsibilities have been to provide full transparency to shareholders and maintain SEC compliance. Mr. Hellwig has a comprehensive knowledge of managing all aspects of timely annual audits, interim reports, disclosure filings and the management of all accounting, legal and auditor resources to achieve and maintain comprehensive compliance of public companies. In addition, Mr. Hellwig served as the COO of a PCAOB auditing firm from 2021 through 2023, giving him a comprehensive understanding of audits from an auditor standpoint, resulting in a more comprehensive ability to manage client engagements where audits are required. Mr. Hellwig has a thorough understanding of US GAAP and PCAOB standards and FINRA requirements.
Mr. Hellwig has served as the CFO and COO of more than a dozen publicly traded entities, and continues to serve as the outsourced CFO of a number of clients of H-Squared Performance Financial. These companies range the full gamut of fully-reporting companies, alternative reporting companies as well as entities that are in the process of being listed. In addition, Mr. Hellwig has served as a consultant to several companies going public and performing reverse mergers, as well as manage the operations of and assuming the P&L responsibilities of several privately-held chemical manufacturers and other service providers.
Mr. Hellwig is fluent in German and holds a B.S. in Industrial Management from the University of Massachusetts.
In his free time, Mr. Hellwig enjoys traveling, the outdoors, being on the water and enjoying life with his wife and two Labradors (Monty & Luke).
Jesus Quintero, CPA
Jesus Quintero is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and an accomplished, finance and accounting leader with operational business acumen backed by a 25-year proven track record in managing a variety of financial and business activities for both established global corporations and growing dynamic companies. Mr. Quintero is an adept business thinker with the ability to interpret and present financial data with a vision for the overall business. He is a highly adaptable professional with a demonstrated ability to develop and implement plans to successfully accomplish multiple objectives within an organization.
Mr. Quintero is extremely proficient in all aspects of compliance, developing transparency, financial management, and reporting requirements for both public and private companies. Throughout his career, Mr. Quintero has developed a comprehensive and invaluable expertise inn: SOX compliance, internal controls, financial consolidation, GAAP and IFRS standards, SEC reporting and compliance (Form 10-Q/K), presentation to executive teams, treasury management, budgeting and forecasting, and financial data analysis.
During his career, Mr. Quintero has been an auditor at Deloitte & Touche (New York, NY) and Price Waterhouse (Miami, FL). This experience has provided Mr. Quintero with the ability to anticipate auditors’ requests and prepare clients financials in proper alignment with auditor expectations, maximizing audit efficiency and minimizing the degree of interactivity between auditors and Mr. Quintero’s clients.
In addition to being an auditor, Mr. Quintero has served C-Suite positions at numerous public and private companies. Some of these entities include: Marijuana Company of America, Massroots, Network Management Services, Brazil Interactive Media, Premier Radiology Services, Alon International and Bratex Dominicana, among others. Mr. Quintero has also served as the controller and accounting manager at other public and private entities such as Aircraft Services of Miami and Latin Node, Globetel Communications Corp.
Mr. Quintero has the credentials and experience to serve as outsourced CFO and provide guidance as an audit committee member.
Mr. Quintero is fluent in English, Spanish (reading, writing and spoking), and conversational Portuguese; holds a B.S. in Accounting, and is a Certified Public Accountant (New York state).
